Psychoanalytic psychotherapy
Justyna Gmurek-Lewandowska
I am a psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience. I hold a degree in Psychology from SWPS University and have completed accredited, in-depth training in both psychoanalytic and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy. I am a member of Polish Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. My practice is grounded in continuous professional development, including regular clinical supervision to ensure the highest standards of care. I currently work in Grodzisk Mazowiecki.
After hours, Marta Bierć and I run a psychoanalytic film project in collaboration with the Polish Society of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy PTPP and Wisła Cinema in Warsaw. Once a month, we host a film screening and discussion with invited guests and the audience. It's always a fascinating and moving experience.

METHOD
Psychoanalytic psychotherapy
It is the oldest branch of psychotherapy, from which all other psychotherapeutic approaches derive. It is also a relatively intensive form of therapy…
TIME AND PLACE
TO SORT THINGS OUT IN YOUR HEAD
Psychotherapy creates a steady, recurring space each week—an anchor in time that supports emotional growth and self-exploration. This environment is shaped by three essential elements: the consistency of regular sessions, the evolving relationship between therapist and patient, and the time, that allows deep inner transformation to unfold.

STANDARDY ETYCZNE
CLINICAL SUPERVISION
Every psychotherapist, regardless of their experience or years in practice, works primarily through themselves. Regular supervision is therefore essential to support ongoing professional development and to ensure a high standard of care and safety throughout the therapeutic process.

Certified supervisors
I submit my work to constant clinical supervision by certified PTPP supervisors.

Ethical standards of PTPP
In my work, I am guided by the Code of Ethics of the Polish Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. You can find its contents here.

Beginning
Consultations
Psychotherapy is typically preceded by around three initial consultation sessions, during which the framework and conditions of the therapeutic work are established.
Work
Psychotherapy
Analytical psychotherapy takes place in a rhythm of at least two sessions a week.
AION GOD OF TIME
Aion, also known as Phanes in Greek mythology, was the personification of time as eternity, immortal permanence, and a manifestation of being. A lion-headed god with a serpent coiled around his body, he also personifies the coexistence of opposites: light and darkness, masculine and feminine, creation and destruction.
MEANING
In psychoanalysis, Aion symbolizes the Self: the spiritual depth of the human being, spacious enough to hold the many, sometimes conflicting, aspects of our psyche and emotional life. Through the integration of these opposites, we can experience the fullness of being ourselves.
